Reference configurations from the WEIMI specification sheet. Dimensions are W × D × H unless stated otherwise. Layout and nominal unit capacity depend on the approved packs. Versions sharing a model code remain separate. Confirm the final drawing, temperature configuration, local electrical supply and payment scope in your quotation.

Deployment scope

Hardware selection and permission to sell are separate checks

Age-checking modules are optional and available only for supported markets. Confirm the local sales rules, venue policy, accepted identity method and failed-verification behaviour before agreeing a vape installation.

The decision to resolve

Does an age-verification feature make every deployment legal?

Read the project guidance

No. Eligibility depends on the country, local authority, venue, product and operating rules. Hardware can support a permitted process but cannot replace the operator’s legal review.

Configuration review

Legal gate comes first

Legal gaterequest local legal guidance rather than relying on a cabinet feature.
Verificationdefine failed checks, privacy, retention and staff escalation.
Restricted deliverytest that declined users cannot bypass the release process.

Product & customer fit

Plan the range around venue suitability

01

Venue suitability

establish whether unattended sales are permitted at the exact site.

02

Restricted stock

confirm product registration, labeling and permitted assortments.

03

Age controls

map verification before payment and before product release.

The retail moment

Start with market eligibility and enforceable access control.

The purchase and collection journey

Review the selected product, displayed price, payment response and collection instructions as one experience. Test with actual packs and agree how faults or unsuccessful delivery are handled.

Operating model

Measure the performance of the selected format

The product-specific signal

Include verification fees, supervision and compliance administration. A strong margin assumption is unusable if the intended sale is not legally permitted.

Record transactions, stockouts, losses and the time spent servicing the site. Compare ordinary and peak periods before increasing capacity or adding locations.

Model product cost, payment charges, site terms, replenishment, travel and maintenance. Add the machine, freight, duties and installation to the investment case.

Machine category intelligence

Vape vending is a restricted-product project. Legal eligibility and enforceable age control come before cabinet design or sales potential.

Rules for e-cigarettes, nicotine products, advertising, flavors, packaging and unattended sale differ widely—and some markets prohibit vending entirely. WEIMI will only discuss a project after the buyer identifies the destination, venue and applicable authorization path.

01

Retail offer

What this vending format can sell

The permitted assortment must be defined by local counsel or the responsible authority before any technical configuration is proposed.

Recommended assortment

  • Only products lawfully permitted for unattended or controlled retail in the destination
  • Sealed, traceable retail packs with required warnings and tax or product markings
  • Approved accessories where their sale and promotion are lawful
  • No unverified, counterfeit, modified or recalled items
02

System fit

Age control, access and auditability

A simple age question on screen is not reliable age verification. Controls must match the law and the venue’s operating model.

  • Determine whether unattended vending is legal and whether staff supervision or a restricted adult-only area is required.
  • Confirm the approved identity/age-verification method and data-processing responsibilities.
  • Use secure product storage, controlled delivery and tamper-aware site placement.
  • Define audit logs, exception handling and what happens when verification fails.
  • Limit on-machine imagery and wording to advertising rules for the market.
03

Location strategy

Where this format performs best

Location suitability is a compliance decision as well as a commercial decision.

  • Licensed, age-restricted venues where the market permits the channel
  • Controlled retail environments with an approved verification workflow
  • Adult-only hospitality areas subject to operator and authority approval
  • Not schools, youth-oriented spaces or any prohibited location
04

Operator economics

How the profit model is built

No revenue case overrides compliance. A lawful project should still model stock security, verification cost and payment risk.

  • Include identity-verification, connectivity and compliance-administration cost per transaction.
  • Use a tightly controlled SKU list to support traceability and reduce obsolete or non-compliant inventory.
  • Set inventory access permissions and reconcile every load, sale, refund and removal.
  • Account for venue share, processor restrictions, chargebacks and insurance.
  • Suspend sales immediately when age-control, connectivity or legal eligibility is uncertain.
05

Route discipline

Restricted-product operating controls

The operator should be able to evidence who is accountable for every control.

  • Verify supplier legitimacy, product approvals and batch traceability.
  • Restrict refill and service access to authorized personnel.
  • Review age-verification and transaction exceptions on a defined schedule.
  • Maintain recall, complaint and regulatory-update procedures.
  • Remove products promptly when authorization, labeling or market rules change.
06

Risk control

Compliance and project boundaries

WEIMI does not provide legal advice and does not represent that vape vending is permitted in any market. The project owner must obtain written, destination-specific confirmation covering sale channel, age assurance, data protection, advertising, payment, tax, licensing and venue restrictions.

  • No deployment without confirmed legal permission and an approved age-control workflow.
  • No marketing to minors or placement in youth-oriented environments.
  • No claim that a machine, reader or software is automatically legally compliant.
08

From concept to specification

What WEIMI needs to scope the project

Compliance evidence is a required project input, not a post-order task.

  • Country, region, city and exact venue type
  • Written summary of legal eligibility and licensing owner
  • Permitted product categories and required warnings
  • Approved age/identity method, data controller and exception process
  • Payment processor acceptance, connectivity, security and quantity

Vape Vending Machines FAQ

Are vape vending machines legal?+

It depends on the jurisdiction and venue; some markets prohibit them. Obtain current, written local advice before purchasing or deploying equipment.

Is an “I am over 18” button sufficient?+

No. It is a self-declaration, not robust age verification. The legally accepted method must be confirmed for the destination.

Can the machine be placed in a bar?+

A bar location does not automatically make vending lawful. Venue access, supervision, licensing, advertising and verification rules still require review.

Does WEIMI certify the whole business as compliant?+

No. WEIMI can discuss technical options for a defined brief. The operator remains responsible for legal, licensing, privacy, product and venue compliance.

What should happen if verification is offline?+

The safe rule is to fail closed unless an approved compliance design says otherwise. Restricted products should not be dispensed when required verification cannot be completed.
